Hi, I’m Abhinav Mishra.

I build my way through unclear problems, shaping new technology around how people actually think and work.

I’m currently a Staff Product Designer at Adobe, bringing AI-driven video production at scale to Firefly for Enterprise.

Before this I have worked at Microsoft, Samsung and Vicon on foundational design problems.

Along the way I also did a PhD that left a taste for research I never lost.

Before this I was:

At Microsoft

  • M365 Copilot: defined the foundational UX patterns for Copilot across mobile and Windows.
  • AI Labs: incubated early-stage AI experiences through rapid prototyping and user testing, winning multiple Hackathon awards among 6,000+ entries.
  • Edge on macOS: helped bring Edge to the Mac for the first time, setting cross-platform design principles that 20+ feature teams used to build one consistent experience.
  • D365 Layout on HoloLens: shaped the digital twin strategy, turning real-time factory data into interactive 3D dashboards.

At Samsung

Led a team of XR designers and set up the processes, workflows, and hiring for a growing design team.

At Vicon

Simplified complex motion-capture workflows for enterprise customers.

Along the way I also did:

  • a fully funded PhD at Northumbria University on designing mixed reality for museums, and a taste for research I never lost.
  • Talks: mixed reality and interaction design at the Natural History Museum, London, and the Belvedere Museum, Vienna.
  • Teaching: visiting faculty at NID Ahmedabad, teaching interaction design, design thinking, and 3D.
